Description: A.S.T. performed all work required to clean, purge, remove and demolish 15 fuels tanks with combined capacities totaling over 2.5 million gallons. There were two 880,000 gallon aboveground storage tanks, two 210,000 gallon underground storage tanks (UST) with eleven other UST's of various sizes. A.S.T. prepared the project Work Plan for submittal to the government and acquisition of permits. A.S.T. mobilized all equipment, materials, and personnel for this large off-shore project.

A.S.T. was also responsible for verification sampling, excavation and removal of  impacted soils, water treatment of impacted groundwater and decommissioning of PCB transformers. A.S.T. installed monitoring wells and analyzed over 150 soil, water, and oil samples. All project operations were professionally executed one month prior to the specified completion date.

The clients satisfaction with our work on the initial contract work resulted in A.S.T. being awarded a contract to decommission six additional 25,000 gallon UST's not in the original contract. We also completed these additional tank removals prior to the original contract completion date.
