STS Consultants
Project: Fraser Paper Landfill
Location: Moraine, Ohio
Contract Value: $2,230,000

relocation of over 80,000 cubic yards of waste, placement of 280,000 cubic
yards of soil, and installation of 25,800 feet of gas collection piping.
The cap was re-graded, seeded, and is now maintained by A.S.T. under a

Project:
Carol & Dubbies Superfund Site
Location: Port Jervis, New York
Contract Value: $493,000
Description: A.S.T. was the primary contractor for the remediation on this Superfund site located in Port Jervis, New
York. The project included clearing and grubbing of the site, treatment of
contaminated water from eight surface impoundments, solidification of over
12,000 cubic yards of sludge, and the excavation and loading of 24,000
cubic yards of contaminated soil. The
project also included the construction of two 50 foot by 80 foot HDPE (60
ml) double-lined temporary hazardous waste storage areas. We performed all work to grade, install, weld, and test the HDPE
liner. Two of eight ponds contained organic contaminant levels that
required the performance of all associated work in Level B protective
safety gear. Upon analysis and acceptance of the waste for disposal, our
operators loaded all soils for off-site transportation and disposal in a landfill or
incinerator. A.S.T. prepared and tracked all waste manifests and shipping
papers. The site of the former eight impoundments was then backfilled,
graded, and re-seeded. Our site personnel performed all labor and
equipment operation to complete this 9-month project safely, on time and
within budget. |
